Construction Update: November 18, 2022
6th Street Scheduled to Reopen Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Noon
Crews have been working hard to prepare for the reopening of the corridor next week. The installation of the first lift of street and trail pavement is now complete. Crews will be present early next week to finalize a few roadway features such as the placement of temporary roadway striping and permanent traffic control signage, as well as temporary turf restoration/erosion control. Residents can expect mail service to resume to mailboxes at individual properties adjacent to 6th Street next week.
Since the street is not paved to its final lift, there may be minor areas of water that freezes on the roadway near storm sewer catch basin locations this winter. Final project paving and restoration will take place Spring 2023.
6th Street West will reopen to all traffic at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 23!
