Carver Station / Future Transit: An overview of the City’s transit operations grant, with service out of Carver Station, was provided to the City Council. The presentation included a history of the grant process, data on current operations, and a discussion on future steps once the grant period concludes.
Pavement Management Plan Discussion: A working draft of a new Pavement Management Plan was shared with the City Council. The five-year plan includes a variety of street maintenance efforts including reclamations, mill and overlays, seal coating, and annual patch work. The draft plan identifies projects in Eagle Ridge, River Oaks, and the Carver Bluffs neighborhoods, along with a corresponding funding plan. The City Council is expected to consider action on a final draft of the Pavement Management Plan in September.
Bond Refunding: The City Council approved a process to refund (or refinance) a bond that was taken out to finance the construction of Levi Griffin Road. The City Council is expected to take final action, on an estimated $150,000 in savings, at their first meeting in September.
Timber Creek Housing Development: The City Council approved Phase I of the Timber Creek residential housing development on Monday. The Timber Creek development is located just west of Carver Elementary. Phase One of Timber Creek’s Final Plat includes 123 total lots, which will include 49 single family homes and 74 townhomes by Lennar. Construction will begin in August of this year.
