Certified Levee Project / Federal Grant: The City Council approved a federal grant agreement for $2,500,000 to be put toward certifying the City's flood levee system. For over 50 years, the Carver Levee has protected the community and historic downtown from major flooding events. The City is seeking additional state and federal funds to complete design work and fund the construction of the estimated $12 million project.
